Come play in Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood
Art Recipes
Bubble Town
On Lily

We will tell her stories and encourage her to no more than just to hear and enjoy the story.
We will provide beautiful story books for her to see and touch.
We will use our local library program that provides story hour and also seek out book stores that have story hours geared towards reading beautiful mind engaging stories to young children.
We will have knowledge books and software that we will use to answer her many questions.
Showing that knowledge is easily found for anyone.
We will walk and take note of the little things and changes that happen through out the day.
Will will use crafts using items from nature to track the beauty of nature and the changes that we see.
We will lie on our backs in the garden and just look at the clouds trying to see the many faces and places in them that we know.
We will read beautiful poetry by great authors that show the beauty in words and the world around us.
We will provide and encourage her to use well read books on tape and online that show people enjoying the words they are reading.
We will daydream with her about imaginative worlds with people who are of her thoughts and wants.
We will put up a bird feeder so that she might see the different birds and animals that might visit.
We will watch the sunrise and sunset and notice the colors and talk about what we seen and felt.
We will talk about the seasons as they happen and chart the differences we see in them. Keeping the chart active.
We will plant blubs and seeds in the spring and fall to show how a plant works & the miracle of life they hold.
We will interact with other family who believe and engage in the same activites encouraging Lily to learn from others.

Accordian Letters Made with Wallpaper

http://www.make-stuff.com/projects/wallpaper_letter1.html

This simple craft can be used in the homeschooling area as many different things.
Just let your creative side out.
For the ABC according instead of using wallpaper use color typing paper or construction paper.
Even everyday notebook paper will work.
You could even add laminate to the pages and do abc practice sheets on front and back and provide a cute dry marker or crayon.
So for a it could read
A a _ _
A is for Apple
B b B is for Ball
make sure you do it in light grey if you want them to trace it.
Make sure to also allow enough room for them to write.
Most kids have chubby fingers and need a little more room to write.

----

You could also use this for science projects.
Charting a butterfly's growth and development would look fantastic.
Maybe showing how a seed becomes a plant.
You could also use this for any apple theme by charting the cycle of apples.
From homemade Ink to cooking this site has lots for you to learn while having fun.

Early Years Homeschool
A wonderful site that helped us weed out the "Complete home school curriculums" that were out there in a format we could understand.
I recommend this site to any parent looking into finding curriculums for their children.
Easy to use and understand, it doesn't get any easier.
Mimosa Scheduling Software
Don't pay those big bucks for keeping track of your homeschooling scheduling.
Use this instead.
I looked all over trying to find something that I could use to show what we did daily just in case we needed it and found this.
You can plan it out however you need it and it can be published to the web!
No more printing it out and having the kids color on it. :P
Here more information-
